How of Montreal Combats Trump-Era Bigotry and Homophobia
- As lead singer of psych-rock band Of Montreal, Barnes is a cross-dressing crusader of sorts. Since 1996, the Athens, Georgia, band has been carving its path through the contemporary-rock genre while creating its own, much like the New York Dolls or Kiss. The band will be in Denver on Thursday, April 20, during its current tour cycle, after having released EP Rune Husk in January. 
Westword caught up with Barnes during a recent tour stop to chat about band happenings and personal projects.
